The Asturias cordon bleu has recently become one of the flagship dishes of Asturias cuisine. There are several ways to prepare it; the traditional method requires breading the steak with egg and breadcrumbs and frying it in hot olive oil; it can also be grilled to obtain a lighter finish.
However you decide to cook it, it is recommended to remove the Asturias cordon bleus from their packaging at least one hour before cooking. The traditional Asturias PGI beef cordon bleu pack is shipped without breading.
The Asturias cordon bleu is presented in vacuum packages of two pieces weighing approximately 500 g.
