Llagar Castañón is a small Asturias cider mill founded in 1938 in Quintueles (Llanes), which in addition to producing high quality Asturias cider is also known for being an innovative company in the world of cider.
The fruit of this innovation was Xiz; a sparkling drink made from pasteurised natural apple juice and fermented at low temperature until it reaches 6% alcohol volume.
On the mouth, this Asturias drink is fresh and carbonated thanks to its fine bubbles. Pale yellow, clean and bright, Xiz from the Llagar Castañón cider mill presents intense and well-defined nuances of ripe fruit with citrus notes and is frankly well balanced in terms of acidity and sweetness, making it an ideal alcoholic beverage as an aperitif to accompany a good lunch or dinner.
Before serving, it should be refrigerated to serve at the same temperature as any sparkling drink.
