Oak honeydew is not produced by the bees from flower nectar, but from oak tree secretions. It is produced mainly from south-western Asturias oak forests (Tineo, Allande, Cangas del Narcea and Ibias), in the north of Spain
Its amber colour is very dark, and its flavour and aroma very intense, persistent and sweet.
