La Peral cheese is a semi-blue Asturias cow’s milk cheese made from pasteurised Friesian cow's milk. Sheep's cream is sometimes added to enhance the aroma and flavour of the cheese in the maturing process.
In its early days, La Peral cheese can be classified as semi blue, although over time it becomes a blue cheese, with great personality, easy to spread and with a slightly sharp flavour.
To enjoy all the flavour intensity of the cheese, it is important to remove the required amount of product to be served from the refrigerator about thirty minutes beforehand to allow it to settle at room temperature for serving.
