The Sidra Castañón cider mill, a small business owned by the Quintueles family (Villaviciosa), has been renowned for cider production in Asturias since 1938, also producing the Roxmut natural cider vermouth from a formula that is used in bars in the villages to offer a different drink, especially for celebrations; the compound.
This Asturias vermouth is an alcoholic drink with intense flavours of citrus and of the Asturias apples used to make it. Also, since the vermouth is made from natural cider, it has a pleasant acidity balance. Roxmut vermouth is lighter than classic vermouths and has a dry and slightly bitter finish with wood nuances derived from barrel aging for up to a maximum of three months.
Serve very cold on ice. Once opened it is recommended to keep it in the refrigerator.
