Cueva de Llonín cow’s milk cheese comes in 300 g pieces wrapped in paper for food use and packed in an original cardboard box.
Cueva de Llonín spanish cheese has a rind with fine white mould and clean cut with occasional ‘eyes’, which is the term for the holes seen in the cheese when it is cut. As it ripens, this soft cheese has a more complex cut, being more like a cake than a cheese to cut.
On the nose this cheese has herbal aromas and hints of mountain pastures, which are clearly appreciable at the optimum point of ripeness.
On the palate, the cheese is very pleasant, soft, creamy and complex.
