Tierra Astur gingerbread cookies represent an example of the combination between tradition and innovation when it comes to offering different homemade jams, but of great quality. In this case, the Asturian biscuit made in Gijón that we present to you takes as its starting point the classic recipe of a flavored butter biscuit with a light and pleasant touch of ginger (zenxibre).
From the perennial ginger plant, it is used for its underground stem to turn it into the different ingredient that will be used in the making of Tierra Astur gingerbread cookies. For this, once the stem of the plant is harvested and washed with care, it must be left to dry for a few days looking for dehydration and, thereby, extend its shelf life for several months. In the field of healthy food, ginger is known for the variety of healthy acids it provides, along with its high content of fibers, amino acids and essential oils.
Tierra Astur gingerbread cookies are made by hand using a homemade recipe that starts with the best ingredients offered by the market to obtain a homogeneous mass that, after it has rested, is stretched to the desired shape before baking. Previously, each cookie is reviewed by one of its faces with a thin icing of very light sugar that results in a very nice crispy texture once the cookies are baked. On the palate, the product presented to you has a pleasant, crunchy entrance with evident presence of toasted fruit baked from the dough that give way to lactic butter flavors prolonged with a delicate aftertaste.
PRESENTATION OF THE PRODUCT
The Tierra Astur zenxibre cookies are presented in a rustic container made with decorated cardboard inside which the homemade biscuits rest with a total weight of 200 grams.
