The hand-forged and tempered blade gives a profile and hardness that lends to sharpening and ensures a long service life. It is recommended not to wash it in the dishwasher to keep the wooden handle in good condition.
In 2005, the Taramundi Council was declared an ‘Area of Artisan Interest’. The declaration aims to reward places that are distinguished with an active craft and that have a recognised tradition.
This official recognition enables the use of a distinctive geographical origin seal on these products.
